Mira Theatre is truly a ‘community theatre’, from the actors on stage and the crew working behind the scenes to the costume sewers, set-builders, technicians, event staffers, and even the Board of Directors — everywhere you look, you will find committed Mira Theatre volunteers.
Utilizing the talents of each one of our volunteers, Mira Theatre provides a variety of opportunities for involvement. We are always looking for new and enthusiastic volunteers! There is room for any level of experience, we truly have a place for everyone, and if you have the desire to be involved, we will teach you what you need to know!

What the role entails:
Lobby Greeter is ideal for personable volunteers who are most comfortable in a single area. This does not require a great deal of movement and is even ideal for those who need to sit, but does require patron interaction and knowledge of Mira Theatre. This role is part of the Box Office and does not require you to stay for the entire performance. -

What the role entails:
If you can use a hammer and a screw gun, we could use you in the setting the stage. Volunteer assignments will depend upon skillset. Specific skills needed are a working knowledge of standard power tools. Or come down and help with organizing supplies/props and painting of the sets as needed. -
What the role entails:
Ticket Check-in is ideal for those comfortable with digital technology (tablet computers, touch-screens, and standing for a good period of time. This role is part of the Box Office and may also require you to take patron temperatures, or assist with dispersing PPE to patrons depending on the current regulations with COVID or any other related health and safety regulations. -
What the role entails:
Usher roles are ideal for those comfortable moving up and down stairs, navigating narrow spaces, and able to stay and observe the audience for safety issues throughout the entire performance. You must also be comfortable in low-light areas. -
What the role entails:
Help out in the wardrobe shop with alterations, stitching, and construction. Volunteers with sewing skills and knowledge of a sewing machine and serger are needed. Assist with organization and wardrobe shop maintenance. Or if a novice, come down to help sew on buttons or hems
